Hi everyone.

My name is Franco Bandelli and I am the co-owner of Gildo Profilati, the long-standing Italian leader in the field of plastic extrusion.

There are two reasons why this blog was born:

To give a face to the company
to reply the many requests for my opinion, information and advice on our work, especially in the furniture field

Right! In the end I’ve taken the bull by the horns and started writing. Why? Because people often ask for my opinion so why not make it available to everybody and offer a forum for dialogue and discussion.

Well, I rolled up my sleeves and posted my best expression on my face and put it in front of the camera. I know I am not Brad Pitt but what you see is what you get. And I hope this gives me credibility.

So, here I am. A little nervous like an American preacher before his first T.V. show (I adore them! They would even make you believe that Jesus died of cold) but ready to spread the word in cyberspace.

There are simple rules that I have set to myself:

to be short and concise so as not to waist your time
to write something intelligent or at least not obviously stupid
to be informal and witty but correct, so that reading to the end isn’t a chore

The topics I post will be varied but relevant to work. I can’t guarantee to post regularly but I am sure what you’ll understand my job is to produce and sell extruded profiles and edgebandings but I’m definitely not the new Petrarca earning a living by selling his poems on the net.
